Ecosystem Type of Germany (IUCN classification)

Mapping of the terrestrial Ecosystem Types in Germany, according to IUCN GET classification, adapted to include additional classes that are not originally part of the global classification, but which were recognised as relevant in the German context and such classes of ETs were added during the crosswalk from the German national habitat classification to the IUCN GET.

Hedgerows, Orchards and Meadows are distinguished from Plantations in the Intensive land-use biome. Coniferous Temperate Forest are in the broad scope of T2.1 - Boreal and temperate high montane forests and woodlands - but this EFG explicitly excludes non-alpine areas of Germany, for which a new class was used to categorized them.
